We offer all of the key services associated with equine reproduction from artificial insemination, to foaling down, embryo transfer to stallion services, and OPU to youngstock livery- and many others in between!
THE ROLE
The key role of the Assistant Yard Manager is maintaining the health and welfare of all horses on site. You will be responsible for leading and managing a team of grooms in the absence of and to support the Yard Manager, communicating with clients, liaising with vets and providing information for the administration team. It is a fast paced and challenging environment, and problem solving skills are key.
As well as overseeing the health and welfare of all client horses, we also have a herd of 150 surrogate mares in our care.
It is a hands-on role, and you will be working side by side with our team of vets who are dedicated to equine reproduction.

Key Responsibilities
• Health & Welfare of all horses onsite
• Client communications: Liasing with clients regarding health and welfare of their mares, foals and stallions.
• Daily capture of all activities to ensure correct billing, consult updates and services are invoiced correctly by the office.
• Pre planning the daily tasks of all yards and livery sites
• Communicating with both the Yard Team, Vets and clinic staff to ensure all tasks are understood and actioned accordingly
• Training and developing the Yard Team to comply with all company standards, policies and procedures
• Health & Safety awareness and training – adhering to all standards set
• Responsible for all outside facilities, equipment and vehicles. Estate management and upkeep.
