We are looking for an Equine Groom to work at the College Equestrian Centre ensuring the care, welfare and exercise of our horses.
Our equestrian students make use of a range of fantastic practical resources as an important part of their course. These include a 60m x 40 m indoor riding arena with spectator seating and judges area, stabling for up to 60 horses and two outdoor riding arenas.
Your duties
You will:
• carry out a range of tasks associated with the care, welfare and management of horses in stable and at grass
• participate in the maintenance of sustainable development of equipment and resources at the Centre including grassland and paddock maintenance
• participate in the organisation, administration and running of College events for both internal and external clients

Person specification
The successful candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, abilities and qualities will include:
• Minimum of grade C in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent)
• A Level 2 Equine related qualification e.g. NVQ, WBD, BHS
• Experience of working in a similar role
• Experience of caring for horses in a busy environment
• Knowledge of appropriate Health and Safety requirements
