Equine Vet Surgeon

The Role: This is an ambulatory role covering all aspects of equine practice, perfect for an experienced vet seeking to work in a practice with excellent facilities. While we prefer a full-time vet, we are happy to consider part-time or flexible working arrangements, including part-time day work with an equal share of the OOH rota for those who prefer not to work full-time. About Our Practice: We take pride in maintaining high clinical standards and are dedicated to the care of our clients and their horses. All of our experienced vets are horse owners and riders, many of whom have completed or are pursuing postgraduate qualifications. • Our Holsworthy site features fantastic clinic facilities, including a large exam room with stocks, lameness diagnostic tools, and an operating theatre for elective surgeries. • We are equipped with high-quality portable equipment, such as video gastroscopes, endoscopes, Cuattro Slate Hub digital x-ray units, advanced ultrasound scanners, battery-powered dental tools, shockwave therapy, and a surgical laser. • Regular clinical club meetings keep us up-to-date with the latest practices. • We foster a supportive, team-oriented environment, with excellent admin support. • External specialists frequently visit to offer expertise across various fields. Located in the picturesque market town of Holsworthy, you’ll find yourself surrounded by rolling hills, scenic valleys, and abundant outdoor activities such as walking, cycling, and riding trails. Holsworthy is also near Bude, a charming seaside town with stunning beaches, top-notch surfing, and some of the best coastal scenery in the UK.
