Equine Welfare Assistant

Join us at Bransby Horses as an Equine Welfare Assistant Location: Bransby, Lincoln Closing Date: Sunday 27th April Interview Date: To Be Agreed Summary of the Role We are looking for two temporary part time Equine Welfare Assistants, one weekend role (15 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday for 12 months) and one part time role (22.5 hours per week, 3 days per week for 9 months). Spread across five specialist yards, our Equine Welfare Assistants ensure that every equine in our care is handled with care and compassion, has access to clean water, feed and suitable shelter. The ideal candidate We are looking for candidates with the following: • a minimum of a level 2 qualification in equine studies • at least 1 years previous experience of working with equines • good communication skills and works well as part of a team • sound knowledge of equine care and health needs • demonstrable handling skills with a good health and safety awareness • a good level of fitness due to the physically demanding nature of the role For the full person specification, please see the job description for this role and reference how you meet the criteria in your application.
