We are looking for a hardworking, caring, well-motivated, individual to join our existing team of equine staff, carrying out and helping to take care of the daily yard duties.
New Direction a specialist independent school based at a Equine Centre. At the yard we keep rare breed Eriskay ponies and have a variety of stock including Stallions, breeding mares, a selection of horses used for our students, as well as group of older horses that require extra care.
In this role you will help to maintain the yard and horses to a high standard.
Core duties include:
Mucking out, Sweeping, Tending to the muck heap, Droppings collecting, Field maintenance Feeding, Grooming, sorting rugs and reproofing, getting ponies ready for pony club etc.
Previous experience and knowledge of horses is a must. Must enjoy being physically active and working outdoors. Three to Four days work per week, days to be discussed, must be able work 1 weekend day.
