The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and a willingness to learn various aspects of farm operations. This role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions and requires physical stamina, as well as the ability to operate machinery and tools safely. And provide a great experience to all of our visitors! Your Role: As a Farm & Equine Assistant, you'll play a vital part in the day-to-day running of the farm. You’ll be responsible for: • Animal Care: Feeding, grooming, and providing daily care for our farm animals, including Llamas, ponies, sheep, goats, and more. • Equine Duties: Assisting with horse riding lessons, grooming, mucking out stables, and equine exercising. • Farm Maintenance: Helping maintain the cleanliness and functionality of barns, stables, and paddocks, and assisting with general farm upkeep. • Guest Interaction: Engaging with visitors and helping run farm tours, educational tours, birthday parties, farmers for the day and special events. • Health & Safety: Ensuring the health and safety of both animals and visitors by adhering to farm and animal welfare standards. Requirements • Previous experience in farming or agricultural work is advantageous but not essential. • Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the day. • Familiarity with garden maintenance practices is beneficial. • Experience with animal care is preferred. • A proactive attitude towards learning new skills related to farm operations. • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
