We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Marketing Officer to join us as we approach our centenary. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in not-for-profit fundraising marketing and a passion for leveraging stories to drive fundraising success. This role requires a creative thinker, a data-driven approach, and a commitment to making a positive impact. The successful candidate will join a busy, friendly, and capable team working to maximise the charity’s fundraising performance. We work with leading fundraising specialists throughout the UK to refine our approach and deliver outstanding results for one of the UK’s leading animal welfare charities. Experience: • Experience working in fundraising and/or marketing (either full time or as an internship) for a charity would be desirable • Experience of developing and implementing marketing promotions plans, delivering them on time and on budget • Knowledge and understanding of the importance of data capture, usage and relationship building • Experience of thinking laterally to find the unique story and contribute to story development. • Experience of working with databases for marketing and collecting, monitoring and analysing data to write reports to improve future plans • An understanding and practical experience of executing profesSIGOnal campaigns across social media channels Knowledge: • Excellent communication, social and interpersonal skills • The ability to work effectively with people at all levels • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Attention to detail and accuracy in both oral and written communications • Enthusiastic, highly motivated and flexible • Ability to be flexible, proactive, organised, meet deadlines, and ensure accuracy. • Ability to work as part of a team and on one’s own initiative • Computer literate – familiarity with the core Windows suite including Word, Excel and Powerpoint and experience of using donor management software. A working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator would be desirable. • Interest and empathy with World Horse Welfare aims and activities • Knowledge of equines would be desirable but is not essential Closing date for applications: Wednesday 31st July 2024
