About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Director to lead our global B2B sales team. The successful candidate will report to the CEO and will be a member of our global senior leadership team. They will be responsible for establishing sales targets, developing strategies to achieve these goals, and managing our worldwide B2B sales team. Our product line focuses on the equestrian market, so knowledge and experience in this field would be a significant advantage. Experience selling into boutique, sporting goods or small to medium retail establishments is also a plus. This role will be predominately B2B focused but will require co-operation with our B2C team to ensure a joined up approach to market. The role will be based in Europe requiring significant levels of travel between our HQ at Dublin Airport and our key global markets. Key Responsibilities: Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement a strategic B2B sales plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensures its strong presence in the market. Team Management: Manage a global sales team, set objectives, coach and monitor performance. Ensure the team has the necessary resources to perform effectively. Performance Metrics: Establish and manage effective programs to compile, analyse and report sales performance metrics. Use these metrics to guide sales strategies and to forecast sales targets. Revenue Goals: Meet and exceed annual sales targets globally. Develop and implement effective sales strategies leading to consistent sales growth. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships. Understand customer needs & requirements and provide suitable solutions. Cross functional Skills: Work with other internal departments to achieve goals and improve processes. B2C relationships: Work with existing B2C sales team to develop a joint go to market strategy which recognises different channel dynamics Technology; Use best in class applications and data analytics to understand markets, re-define sales, customer and product strategies and measure KPI’s About you: Proven Sales Experience: The candidate should have 8 years of successful international sales experience in a global role. Experience in the equestrian supplies industry and/or small to medium retailers would be a significant advantage. Communication Skills: The candidate should demonstrate an ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation. Sales Process Management: The candidate should have a proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close. Business Sense and Industry Expertise: The candidate should have a strong business sense and industry expertise, particularly in the equestrian supplies market. People Management Skills: Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills are essential for managing the global sales team effectively.
