We are seeking a Head of Member Services and Network Operations to lead and strengthen the vital connection between RDA and its network of volunteers, groups, and riding centres. This pivotal role is at the core of fostering collaboration, motivation, and excellence across the RDA community. As the Head of Member Services, you will play a key role in inspiring and empowering our network to continue delivering transformative health and well-being benefits through the unique bond between people and horses. Specific Responsibilities: Expanding RDA’s membership offer Develop RDA’s membership portfolio, considering current and potential audiences. Lead the implementation of current initiatives, and develop new proposals for increasing membership numbers. Support the introduction of a customer relationship management (CRM) system that will be key in managing the membership process. Continuously review the value of RDA’s services to our members. Work collaboratively with other RDA UK staff to ensure the needs and priorities of RDA Members and networks are well understood and factored into their plans. Ensure RDA has an effective regional and operational structure that connects RDA with its Member Groups and is a key cog in the services the charity provides to its members. Management of services to Members Identify areas for improvement in Member Services and implement initiatives to enhance the value and support provided to RDA Groups. Support the development and delivery of training programs and resources to build the capacity of RDA Groups in areas such as governance, safeguarding, volunteer management, and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion. Ensure that all RDA Groups comply with organisational policies, standards, and best practices, especially around legislative requirements such as Safeguarding and Health and Safety. Conduct regular reviews and audits to assess governance, compliance, and risks and identify and support areas for improvement. Oversee RDA’s approach to policy and complaints management relevant to the RDA Network. Engagement Establish and maintain strong relationships with RDA Groups, providing ongoing support, guidance, and resources to help them achieve their individual goals. Work with our Communications Team to develop and implement a communications strategy for our RDA members which ensures a positive two-way flow of consultation and information. Foster a sense of community and collaboration within the RDA network, encouraging knowledge-sharing and best practice. Ensure each Group is valued as a member of the RDA community and that their individual needs are understood and met Build and manage a services hub at RDA UK that serves as a primary point of contact for RDA Groups, responding to and addressing their inquiries, concerns, and feedback. Management Responsibilities To effectively manage and lead the team by: Leading by example and demonstrating the Charity’s vision and values Ensuring regular communication with the team and individuals about the department’s objectives Managing a high-performing team, ensuring that objectives are clear and well-managed Ensuring the delivery of strategic aims and objectives within the constraints of budgets set and the availability of funding Setting and managing budget in step with the expectations of the Finance Department.
