Horse Rider/Groom

A private show jumping stable based near Rugby is seeking a rider/groom to help develop our young horses. We currently have a team of sport horses competitively jumping up to 4* competitions both nationally and internationally. We also breed 3-4 quality foals each year to bring on and develop through the levels with the aim of top sport for them. This role would be to help develop some of our young horses from breaking-in to jumping courses, and further if riding skills are strong enough. Experience riding young horses and jumping is essential for this role. We are passionate about producing the horses correctly, keeping them healthy and happy for long sport careers. There will be help and guidance from the other riders and manager to ensure that the horses have positive experiences. There is also the opportunity to show groom at national and international shows and tours. This will be a varied role and will allow you to see a lot of different aspects of the industry and gain experience. We have a wonderful, friendly team here, so a team-oriented person is essential. This position is a great opportunity for development and there is plenty of scope to grow and advance skills within this role. Competitive salary based on experience. 5 or 5.5 day week. Small single accommodation is available on site. Own horses and pets are a possibility.
