To act as reporter/presenter at Racing TV racecourses in the UK and Ireland, providing interviews and analysis from the course or the Racing TV studio. The presenter will be required to provide voice-overs for the daily Racing Replay programme, present live and recorded programmes from the studios in Ealing and on location at racecourses and racing establishments throughout the UK and Ireland.
Job Accountabilities:
To act as reporter/presenter at Racing TV racecourses providing interviews and analysis from that course
To provide a voice-over on the daily Racing Replay programmes for both UK and Irish Racing
To present aspects of the Racing TV, live and recorded, output
Plan, film and edit feature and programming material for broadcast on Racing TV’s broadcast and digital output
Measures for the role:
Generate ideas and independently take them to completion
Ensure accuracy and compliance with instructions for tasks set
To work collaboratively with the wider production teams to produce best outcomes for the channel
The successful candidate will have a strong passion for horse racing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Report live from racecourses throughout the UK and Ireland
• Conduct interviews with racing professionals and experts
• Provide expert analysis and commentary
• Plan, film, and edit feature and programming material for broadcast
Requirements:
• Degree in Journalism or related field
• Strong knowledge of horse racing and current events
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Other relevant information:
Evenings, weekends, and bank holidays are an integral part of the shift system
Flexible shift pattern to account for the racing calendar
Flexibility to travel and work non-standard hours
