Farfield Livery, are looking for a Yard Manager to join our dedicated team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an ambitious and growing yard with exciting plans for the future.

Role & Responsibilities: As Yard Manager, you will be overseeing the smooth running of the yard, managing a team of four other staff members daily, and working together to deliver high standards of horse care. Duties include:
· Supporting the yard owners with planning and growth.
· Assisting the owners in organising clinics, competitions and coordinating yard events.
· Managing daily yard tasks, allocating duties and ensuring everything runs efficiently.
· Responsibility for ensuring the yard operates in line with H&S policies and procedures.
· Assisting and liaising with vets and farriers as required for emergencies or yard visits.
· All general yard duties along side the team daily including, feeding, rugging, filling and hanging haynets, turning out, bringing in, mucking out, skipping out, checking horses for injury.
Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience in horse care and yard management.
• Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate a small team.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with booking clinics or organising events is an advantage.
• Experienced rider preferred.
• This is a very manual role, you need to be physically fit and happy to lead from the front with all general yard duties.
• First Aid qualification desirable however training can be provided.
