Saracen Horse Feeds is a family-owned company and as part of the Lillico group has more than 230 years of experience, tradition and heritage in the manufacturing and selling of horse and animal feeds.
Operating from its site in Aylesford, Saracen manufactures and sells nutritionally sound, innovative horse feeds across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. Saracen range of feeds cater for all types of horses from the pony in the paddock to Olympic gold medal winners and we pride ourselves on giving exceptional customer service and having the highest levels of quality control.
The Role
Working in the Saracen Administration office and reporting to the Administration Manager you will have primary responsibility for receiving and processing customer orders which will include, but is not limited to, the following tasks:
Taking orders from customers and inputting into system
Providing quotations and resolving order queries
Pricing of orders for invoicing purposes
Inputting E-commerce orders into the system
Arrange couriers for E-commerce deliveries, check courier invoices and raise queries
Cashbook updates
Purchase Ledger duties including invoice register, coding and matching, statement checking and managing of accounts inbox.
In addition, as part of a small administration team you will be expected to perform general office duties and provide holiday cover for other members of the team. This may include the following duties, although this is not an exhaustive list and a willingness to adapt and provide support where needed is vital:
Answering the telephone and dealing with enquiries or re-directing calls as appropriate
Answering door, receiving visitors, dealing with incoming and outgoing post
Transport operation duties to assist Transport Manager
Person Specification
To excel in this role, you will need to be an experienced order processor who takes pride in delivering a high level of customer service and with the following skills and experience:
Experienced in a customer facing/customer services role
Computer literate including knowledge of sales order systems
Cheerful and positive manner
Comfortable working as part of a team
Confident to work on own and take the initiative to solve problems
Proactive, flexible and adaptable
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week - 8.30am to 5pm
Remuneration: £23,000 - £24,000 (depending on experience) plus benefits which include company pension and staff discounts. The holiday entitlement is 22 days plus bank holidays, increasing by 1 day for each completed year of service to a maximum of 30 days.
