Production Operator

Working in the Saracen Production Facility and reporting to the Mill Manager your role will include, but is not limited to, the following tasks: · To supervise intake of bulk raw materials · Approval and testing of raw materials · Prepare raw materials for manufacture, fill tote bins, assemble hand tip ingredients · To ensure that all raw materials used in production are of satisfactory quality · To ensure the production process is carried out in accordance with all procedures & systems and be involved in a process of continual improvement · Operate all the mill control panels for all mill machinery and grain store · Maintain production records · To understand the requirement for regular machinery maintenance · To ensure the Company’s Health & Safety Policy and Quality Policy are always adhered to · To move raw materials and finished product by forklift truck · To ensure all finished product quality is to required standards · Carry out mill cleaning schedules · Any other duties required for the operation of the production plant Full training and support for all the above tasks will be given. Person Specification • Able to follow procedures and instructions. • Happy working as part of a team and with other areas of the business • Confident to work on own and take the initiative to solve problems • Proactive, flexible and adaptable • Forklift truck experience/license desirable • Own transport / travel to and from site. Salary: Competitive salary which is negotiable depending on experience, plus benefits including company pension and life assurance, 22 days holiday (rising to 25 days) plus bank holidays.
