The Equestrian Centre at Lucknam Park is looking for a Senior Instructor/Groom to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a desire to work and learn within an equestrian environment and have great knowledge and experience with horses. You must have an Equestrian Apprenticeship NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds or equivalent and Riding and Road Safety as a minimum qualification.
As a member of our Equestrian team you will be responsible for delivering a consistently high standard of service to our horses, guests and liveries ensuring needs and requests are met in a professional and timely manner. You must have excellent stable standards, be a confident rider, enjoy teaching and communicating with the public as well as being able join us with general tasks in the centre.

Experience and skills required for the role of Senior Instructor/Groom
Broad knowledge of Stable Management, Equine First Aid and Horsemanship
Confident at Riding and Schooling Horses
Experienced, Safe, Ride Leader in Open Countryside and different situations
A good communicator within the team and with the public
Caring, Personable and Patient Manner
The ability to communicate clearly in fluent English, both written and verbal
Experience and a basic understanding of computer skills including Word and Excel
The passion and drive to deliver a consistently excellent level of guest service
Experience in Natural Horsemanship and Driving beneficial but not essential
Duties: These are shared with the whole team
All yard duties; include all areas of daily horse and stable management
Daily Exercising/Training of Horses including Young Horses
Escorting Daily Rides/Lessons, Staff Lessons & Training
Natural Horsemanship Sessions
Communicating with Clients and Hotel Departments by Phone & Email
Computer/Office Work; Booking, Billing, Vet Visits/Treatment/Vaccinations/Shoeing/Osteopath/Statistics/Reporting/ Emails etc

We are offering a competitive salary plus service charge will be paid after completing one full months service. This is a full time position working 40 hours over 5 days. Shifts will be allocated on a weekly basis according to business needs and could include early mornings, evenings, weekends and Public/Bank Holidays.
Due to the beautiful location of the property it can be difficult to reach by public transport, please ensure you are able to travel to the property on a daily basis and fulfil the required shifts prior to applying.
