Stable Hand

```Duties:``` - Perform general maintenance and upkeep of the stable area - Clean stalls, feed and water horses, and ensure their overall well-being - Assist with grooming, tacking, and exercising horses as needed - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the barn, tack room, and other areas - Operate and maintain equipment used in daily stable operations - Repair and maintain fences, gates, and other structures on the property - Assist with the transportation of horses to shows or events ```Skills:``` - Mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain equipment such as tractors, mowers, and other farm machinery helpful but not necessary - Ability to perform basic equipment repairs as needed - Experience in animal care, particularly with horses, including feeding, grooming, and exercising helpful but training can be given. - Knowledge of irrigation systems for maintaining pastures and arenas helpful but not essential - Proficiency in using power tools for various tasks around the stable area - Competence in using hand tools for minor repairs and maintenance work - Ability to lift heavy objects such as hay bales or feed bags This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for working with horses. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and possess the necessary skills to effectively carry out their duties. Although training can be given. Please note that this is a physically demanding job that may require working in various weather conditions. The ability to work independently as well as part of a team is essential.
