Trek Leader and Yard Person

We are looking for a Trek Leader and Yard Person at our friendly Trekking Centre in Studland, Dorset to take customers out on rides through the beautiful Purbeck countryside. Applicants must be able to take control and use their initiative. They must be mature and have worked with horses on a regular basis. Hard-working experienced riders capable of riding a variety of horses. Our yard consists of 17 horses of different breeds, well-behaved and easy to do. We care deeply for our horses who are very well looked after and treated with consideration and respect. Good communication skills are a must for dealing with members of the public. You will be taking our customers out on fantastic treks (ridden and on foot) as well bringing in and turning out, grooming, tacking up horses. General yard work and field maintenance. Some tractor work but training will be given. Ride leader and first aid qualifications would be ideal but training will be given if not. Must be able to drive. Patience, resilience and good sense of humour are essential! Possibility to bring your own horse but would ideally need to be a working livery.
